Our Environment

When it comes to outdoor spaces, Taylor has a lot to offer! Residents appreciate their local neighborhood parks and green spaces.  Residents are also annoyed with the constant litter covering the sides of streets.  We want to take pride in our city, and one of the ways Korey wants to do that is by creating an anti-litter initiative.  By working with citizens, Taylor Police, and community leaders, we can work to take that extra step, and remove trash from our roads.

Many Taylor roads and homes are currently susceptible to flooding and flood damage.  One way we can combat this issue is by focusing on creating rain gardens.  Using native plants, the city can grow beautiful and functional gardens at key areas in order to curb tail flooding.  Korey would also like to see the city work with local outdoor businesses to create and encourage flood garden packages for interested residents, hopefully financially assisted through grants.

Korey is also a proud advocate for renewable energy. Taylor has plenty of large fields, and converting one or two of these into energy farms can save residents big time on their energy bills, while lowering Taylor's carbon footprint.  Saving money while doing the right thing for the environment is a common sense solution we should all be able to agree on!

WHY HE IS RUNNING >

There is so much potential in the city of Taylor!  We have the resources and people needed in order to create a better Taylor for everyone.  Korey sees this and wants to be one of the voices in our City Hall advocating for a better quality of life for all residents.  Bold vision, fiscal responsibility, community engagement, and transparency are the core pillars of this campaign, and Korey knows he needs your help to make these focuses a reality.
